Do I keep control of my game?
Yes. You maintain 100% control of your game and 100% IP ownership. Steamline only handles payments - everything else is yours to manage.
What you control:
- Store page: Description, images, videos, tags, pricing
- Builds and updates: Upload new versions whenever you want
- Release timing: Choose your launch date and early access periods
- Community: Discussions, reviews, announcements, events
- Steamworks features: Achievements, trading cards, workshop, leaderboards
- Financial data: Full access to sales analytics and earnings reports
- Branding: Your developer name, publisher name, studio identity
What you own:
- 100% of your intellectual property
- All your game files and assets
- Your player relationships and community
- Your game's reputation and reviews
How it works:
When you publish through Steamline, we add you as a full administrator on your game's Steamworks dashboard. You have the same level of access as if you owned the Steamworks account yourself. The only difference is that Valve sends payments to us (as the account owner) instead of directly to you, and we then pay you with better payment rails.
Can Steamline change my game without permission?
No. We don't make changes to your game, store page, or settings without your explicit approval. You're in the driver's seat.
What if I want to leave Steamline?
Your game can be transferred back to your own Steamworks account at any time. Steamline is month-to-month with no long-term commitment.
