What about the Steam Direct fee?

Steam charges a $100 Direct fee per game. You can pay this through Steamline using Stripe, and we handle submitting it to Valve.

How it works:

• Steam requires a $100 fee for each new game published
• You pay us the $100 via Stripe when setting up your game
• We submit the payment to Valve on your behalf

Can I recoup this fee?

Yes, per Steam's policy: once your game generates $1,000 in adjusted gross revenue (sales + in-app purchases), Steam refunds the $100 fee.

Do I pay this for transferred games?

No. If your game is already published on Steam and you're transferring it to our Steamworks account, the Direct fee has already been paid. You only pay this fee for new games that aren't yet on Steam.
